Ever since vaping took the smoking community by storm, portable vaporizers have become insanely popular — thanks to them being more healthier than smoking. The market today is replete with many different brands of portable vaporizers available at Dan – VapeScaping. But no matter what kind of vaporizer you are using, you need to get more vapor emanating, thereby contributing to a more pleasant vaping experience. Here are some tips that will help you get started:
Keep Your Herbs Dry
Drying your herbs is a very important factor as the more dry your herbs are, the more potent, smooth and aromatic they will be. Firstly, you will have to buy herbs that are correctly cured and dried. You will get a lot more vapor if your herbs are in a completely dried-up state.
Sometimes, you may not be able to buy herbs that are completely dry, then in this case, follow these steps or methods for a couple of hours/overnight/1-2 days – depending on the moisture content of your herbs.
1. You can place your herbs in a glass jar without the lid on. Place tissue both on top of the herbs as well as below the herbs. The glass jar and the tissue will prevent mold formation.
2. Besides the glass jar method of drying your herbs, you can also place your herbs in a plastic bag as well as a paper bag. First, place the herbs in a brown paper bag for almost 6-8 hours and then in a plastic bag for 7 hours. Alternate between both the bags to achieve total dryness of the herbs.
3. Apart from placing the herbs in a glass jar, paper/plastic bags, you can also try placing your herbs in a rice container. Rice is generally known as a very good moisture absorber.
4. Last but not the least, you can dry your herbs very quickly in an oven although this is not commonly advised. Place the herbs in the oven in temperatures ranging between 100-150 F and not more. Heat for 10 minutes and then stop.
Grind Your Herbs
If you want your herbs to transfer heat between them more effectively and efficiently, then grind them. This will result in your vaporizer producing more vapor than usual.
The general notion is that the more herbs you pack, the more vapor your device will emanate, but in reality — different vaporizers come with different vaporizing designs. Some will require that you don’t overpack them, so you will have to maintain a correct balance between packing the herbs tightly and at the same time, not overpacking them.
The trick is that as long as you are not blocking airflow from the mouthpiece, you can pack the herbs tightly. In case, your vaporizer comes with a mouthpiece that is just above the herbs, then leave some space – so that inhalation of the vapor becomes easy.
Inhale Slowly & Lightly
If your portable vaporizers have a mouthpiece directly above the herbs, then inhaling too quickly will block the airflow as the herbs will be sucked up to the filter. This will result in a lower output of vapor. Apart from this, inhaling too quickly may also cool the chamber, thereby reducing the amount of vapor emanating from your device. As a thumb-rule, allow the chamber to heat up properly before you start your vaping session.
Use Glass Screens For Vape Pens
If you prefer using vape pens, then you should use something to prevent the heating coil coming into direct contact with your herbs. Here, glass screens are the key. Not only does the glass screen prevent any change in flavor of your vapor, but it also effectively prevents the occurrence of a short-circuit as it does not conduct electricity.
If you follow the above mentioned tips, you will definitely get more volumes of vapor from your vaporizer leading to a more pleasant vaping experience.
